The campus will retire the Distributed Authentication (Distauth) service on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, and UC Davis websites that use Distauth need to move to CAS or to Shibboleth by then. Information and Educational Technology can provide some flexibility on the deadline for individual users, based on need. If you cannot meet that deadline, please contact the project group at websso@ucdavis.edu.
Shibboleth and CAS are both open-source, standards-based, Web single sign-on applications used by institutions in the United States and abroad. Please read more about them, and about the retirement of Distauth, at http://websso.ucdavis.edu/index.html.
